Verified ReviewerRude Staff
Located 300 s. 17th st.
Lincoln, Ne. The staff was very disorganized and very rude to me because of a misunderstanding about when I donated plasma to another company. They accused me of 'company hopping', even though I was already a loyal client and had left the other company well before I decided to join Grifols' 'friendly' establishment. Terrible management.
If you're going to accuse someone of anything, at least have your facts straight before you accuse them. The supervisor was very aggressive and made me feel very uneasy and very belittled.
Public humiliation at it's finest. Very unprofessional and uncalled for.
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified Reviewer |Beyond disrespected
So, I worked a 12-hour shift from 4 to 4, then drove an hour to get here. After filling out my questionnaire, I took my seat and tilted my head back to rest while I was waiting.
My son also came with me today. His head had already been screened when he had been taken back to the sonar floor. I had heard some of the staff who were right up front making fun of his speech impediment, mocking and laughing like it was funny. They should definitely not have been as loud right up front and mindful of their audience.
I chose to let it slide because he was already on the floor and we had waited a while, and I was just going to comment about it on our way out. When my name was called to a screening room, I went at the first call, only to be told I couldn't donate because they noticed I was falling asleep. I told her I had been at work all day and I was wide awake. I had waited so long she said it doesn't matter, yet it doesn't say that anywhere in the building or in any of the information provided to you.
They are so disrespectful. They could have told me that an hour beforehand instead of allowing me just to sit there knowing they were not going to see me. I should have known, however, this place is scummy. The employees will conduct finger sticks without gloves and without using alcohol wipes, and they make you put the band-aid on your finger after you stick yourself.
I have been to enough other plasma centers to know that this is not how it is done. Also, when they are about to stick you, they just do one quick line of iodine, then stick you, while everywhere else swirls it around the area for what feels like a minute or so. The staff's appearance is very unbecoming, and they are loud and talk very disrespectfully right up front. They play inappropriate music loud enough to be heard through the entire center.
Like, come on, have a little class. Everyone doesn't want to hear that. My suggestion is if you want to be treated with a little dignity, or you don't want an infection from the pure ignorance and malice of staff, I would avoid this place.
And from what I've read in online reviews and spoken to people who have had the same experience here, it seems this is their standard at this location. So, I guess just make sure if you go, you call them out if you're having any of these disgusting practices or attitudes put on you, because honestly, it may just save your life!

RUDE staff and false advertising the payouts, rude desk staff. This visit was a humiliation and totally disrespectful experience that I hope no one else experiences. The attitude that these ladies presented forces you to eat crow or walk out.

Verified ReviewerCompensation
I donated at a Milwaukee branch. I was blatantly lied to over the phone by a Grifols team member about compensation.
I was told I would receive $150 for donating. I rode the bus in the freezing cold, in hopes to donate and get this money. After donating, I was told I would only get $100. I feel used and cheated.
I donated twice; therefore, I feel that I am owed $100. Please respond ASAP.

Verified Reviewer |Complaint
I have tried numerous times to contact 1- regarding my treatment and the unprofessionalism of certain staff members with no answer. I received the same non-response when I tried to call my center and talk to the manager. Many employees are knowledgeable and friendly. However, there are those who are less knowledgeable, rude, and even abusive. Today was the last straw. I tried to complain to a supervisor today while I was donating plasma, but I'm pretty sure she didn't take me seriously. Many employees are close friends.
When I came in for my appointment today, Trina S was at an open desk. I had checked in for my appointment and was waiting for her to wrap up her conversation with another co-worker. I stood there for 10 minutes while they were just playing around. She was talking to one of the donation phlebotomists. The phlebotomist just looked at me and kept carrying on their conversation. Finally, I sat down in a chair right next to Trina's desk due to my back issues. Then Trina rudely asked if I had an appointment and if I had checked in. I had been waiting for 15 minutes by then. She claimed she didn't see me and was rude in the way she spoke to me as if it was my fault. I told her she needs to pay more attention.
During the check-in procedure, she remained rude. When she pricked my finger for the blood test, she forcefully grabbed my wrist and twisted it in an unnatural manner which made me scream in pain. However, instead of apologizing, she became defensive and insisted she hadn't hurt me or twisted my wrist, continually arguing with me without once apologizing. When I asked for her supervisor, she refused to call one. I'm 65 years old, my bones don't move as they used to, and her harsh jerk on my wrist could easily have caused a break or fracture.
Her name tag read Trina S., but I’m aware that some of the employees switch name tags and visors. Some don't wear a name tag at all. The person who eventually came to talk to me didn't have a name tag and I had never seen her before. For these reasons, I was wary that it could have been one of Trina’s friends posing as a supervisor. Behavior like theirs should have consequences.
I enjoy donating plasma as it's a good initiative, and as a senior, I rely on the extra money. However, it's not worth enduring the abuse I experienced today both physically and emotionally from Grifols, who pays very little.
I have always gotten along well with everyone there in the past. Despite being hurt by two different phlebotomists whilst being jabbed with a needle, I never complained. Instead of gently inserting the needle, they jabbed me, causing minor bruises and requiring me to use my other arm on two separate occasions.
Jennifer, another employee, did the same on a Saturday when they were short-staffed. She hit a nerve and I couldn't move my arm for several days resulting in a major hematoma. My arm on both sides turned black and blue for several weeks. I wasn't able to donate for almost a month until medically cleared by Grifols. It was a struggle to get anyone to help me with the clearance process, no one returned my calls even though it was their fault. No apology was given and I lost a month of much needed compensation.

Verified ReviewerI'm trying to work out an issue
I had to have back surgery, and I had two MRI scans. I didn't realize the medication stays in your system for over a week.
I'm very sorry about this. I was a loyal person. I went twice a week.
I tried to talk with management but had no success. They said that I was barred for life and wasn't trustworthy.
Preferred solution: I would like to see if we can resolve this and maybe I can start to plasma donation again
User's recommendation: Always be up front on any medical procedures you have done

Verified Reviewer |Malpractice
My husband was donating last night. They put him on a brand-new machine that had yet to be tested.
The machine stopped working in the middle of his donation and he couldn't receive his blood back, which was a lot of blood. They tried to manually do it, but the staff didn't realize that the tubing was pinched. By the time they realized, it was too late; the blood had already started to clot.
So now, he is deferred for 56 days due to malpractice of the staff and a mechanical issue with their machinery. He should be compensated for the time missed because it's not his fault; it's the facility's fault.
Preferred solution: I would like to be compensated for the 56 days that my husband will be missing due to staff not knowing how to do their job and machinery malfunction
User's recommendation: Make sure you use a machine that has been tested to not let them test the machine during your donation

Verified ReviewerDefamation of my character
Yes just not at this location for fear of retaliation
When I call and talk to management named Josh, he says that when I was in the screening booth I was told to put my phone down and when the staff member walked away. The girl screening me at the time said I picked up my phone again and said I don't care. That is a total lie. He said he did a full investigation and I said how you just took her word over mine.
I know multiple staff at this facility by first name and never would I blatantly ignore the rules. First written up and I'm deferred permanently from the facility. While there are nice, friendly staff for the most part, there is a lot of inappropriate talk on the donor floor and over the walkie-talkie.
And the management wouldn't give me the employee's name so I could file a complaint against her for false accusations against my name. The management should've spoken to the staff and found out the real story.
- Nice staff on floor
- Management is not customer oriented and understaffed
Preferred solution: Apology

Verified Reviewer |To warn good donors.
Be ware of Grifols! I donated 78 times.
I went for the 79th and was told, I have Hepatitis. I was also listed on the NDDR. If a donor is left on the NDDR, they can not donate, to any plasma company, for the rest of their life. I went to a doctor and he ordered the most advanced, test available.
The result is negative. The doctor, typed a letter stating that I can donate, my proven healthy plasma. I made calls, texted, and sent copies of the doctors letter, to Grifols Headquarters. I kindly, request to be removed, from the NDDR.
I have been ignored! I spoke to a manager, at a different plasma company. I was told that they have removed, donors from the NDDR, because of a false positive result. Grifols knows, they can and should do the same!
I did nothing wrong. I am not the only donor, they have done this to. Do not assume, this wont happen to you. False positive results, have been issued by Grifols.
Tell your family and friends, to go to a different plasma company. Thank you for reading and taking this matter seriously.
User's recommendation: Go to plasma companies, that are not Grifols owned.

Verified Reviewer |Poor quality and service
Extremely unprofessional. They treat clients poorly.
It's appointment-only, but it takes 45 minutes to an hour to get in. Sometimes, it takes much longer. A couple of weeks ago, they opened 2 hours late and closed at 12:30 pm. The last time I went, I waited an hour and a half and never got in for my appointment.
They have to have a nurse to open, and they were down to one nurse.
Management is so poor, they have fired many and many have quit. The compensation is not enough to waste my time and stress me out.
- Helping people with plasma
Preferred solution: Improve service and quality. Hire more people and new management. Treat clients respectfully. Open on time. Be on time for appts. Improve compensation. Lake Charles, LA.
User's recommendation: Don't go.
Elizabeth in Ocala needs to be fired
Seriously Elizabeth get another job.. Corporate will be getting emails and complaints about your so called professionalism about your job.
Thanks to the head nurse and CeCi they corrected the issue but the damage at that point was already done. Elizabeth I hope you have explosive diarrhea in traffic as I wish I could say things more harsh as that is how livid I am. If that broad is still working there when I go back to speak with management I am going to call the medical board in Florida to do a background check on her.. She is not qualified to be sticking anything into anyone!!!.
When I do come in I will be on speaker phone with a lawyer and that is to see Elizabeth's credentials.
Management... My reviews are not done yet and nor will I let this slide!!
Management..
look at my arm after my very 1st donation.. and *** i dont even want the money I was doing it to help others..

I have been donating for several years off and on. I finally experienced a serious medical problem due to phlebotomist causing a blood clot.
It turned into a Hemolytic medical condition. I am looking into further potential action as I feel their was on purpose.
